DCDEE Public Forums Update

Friday May 4, 2018     Time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm

This Webinar is FREE with no training credit offered.

Webinars are online but the audio portion is on your phone (for best audio).

Bio of Presenter:  Linda Piper has been with NCLCCA since 2004 and was a childcare provider for 18 years prior to that.  She has a BS in Accounting and an MS in Child Development and Family Relations. She has served on numerous boards and advisory committees related to early childhood at the state and national level.  She is the mother of three adult children and currently shares a home with her husband, brother, and their 4 dogs.

Brief Course Description: NCLCCA asked the Child Care Commission to postpone passage of proposed rules until they could hear more from providers.  THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

There will be three focus group meetings held in early May around the state in Charlotte, Raleigh and Hickory.  Join us for this webinar to learn more about the purpose of the meetings, what rules are being considered, and how you can make y
our voice heard.  It is RARE that the Commission hears from people outside Raleigh so take advantage of their proximity to you!

We want these three meetings to leave Commission members with a better sense of what providers do on a daily basis as well as with suggestions for making better, more effective rules. Linda Piper will break down the parts you need to know and guide you on what to do for these three meetings.

This webinar is for information only.  We will not be issuing training credit for it.

Two opportunities to participate in the webinar, but only one of them will take place prior to the Charlotte meeting.  If you're planning to attend the Charlotte meeting on May 2nd, please try to participate in the May 1st webinar.  Otherwise you may join for either the May 1st or May 4th options.

There is no charge for this session but registration is necessary so that we can send you a link.
