Who is NCLCCA?

We’re an organization of childcare providers.  Not funded by any state or federal dollars, we exist through child care center and vendor support.  NCLCCA is the only organization in NC working for YOU, the child care provider, in the legislative and regulatory arenas. Our voting members are licensed providers, which includes single site and multi-site companies,  small and large centers, programs in churches and renovated buildings, and facilities in rural, urban and suburban settings.

What do we do?

We serve as a liaison between child care centers and the agencies and regulatory bodies who have oversight.  We attend meetings, ask questions, and share relevant information with our members.  We can ask anonymous questions on behalf of our members.  Our vision is that providers will be well-equipped to provide high-quality care to children and families through efficient operating systems, while being considered a valued partner in the child care delivery system.


Why haven’t I heard about NCLCCA?

Since we are not funded by DCD, Smart Start, etc., we have to do our own marketing and promotion!  Except for printed newsletters a few years ago, our membership has tripled simply by word-of-mouth!  Most providers are surprised and relieved to know an organization like ours exists!

Do you have to be “for profit” to join NCLCCA?

No.  We realize that all licensed centers face the same challenges and opportunities, regardless of financial status or whether you have another organization to support you.  We have quite a few church-sponsored, licensed programs who are NCLCCA members.
