Bio of Presenter: Vicki Lipscomb is the Founder and President of Child Nutrition Program, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. She founded CNP in 1982, which now sponsors child centers, homes and afterschools, feeding over 16,000 children daily. Vicki also advocates for child care organizations as a member of the Paper Work Reduction Work Group, a group established by Congress and appointed by the USDA. In addition, as chair of the Policy and Regulation committee for the National CACFP Association, Vicki stays up to date on the latest regulations and changes affecting the food program.  Vicki works as an advocate for CACFP participants by interpreting rules, providing feedback to USDA, offering training at national conferences and educating congressional leaders concerning the child care industry’s needs.

Brief Course Description: In April of 2016 USDA released the CACFP New Meal Pattern.  The CACFP meal pattern has not changed in over 30 years; making this is the biggest change in the CACFP regulations since it inception 50 years ago!  The meal pattern became effective in October of 2017, with a one-year grace period on compliance disallowances.  Effective October 2018 the meal pattern will be fulling implemented.  This webinar is intended to give CACFP institutions and facilities an overview of the changes along with tips for staying in compliance.   We will review all changes along with the new sugar limits for cereals and yogurt and the whole grain rich requirements, the areas causing the most confusion.

All Business Success Series Webinars are 1-hour long and receive 1 hour of DCDEE-approved training.

Upon completion of the webinar you will be emailed a link to an evaluation. Upon submission of the evaluation you'll be redirected to a quiz.  Once the 3-5 quiz questions have been answered successfully the NCLCCA office will be notified and will begin processing your training credit. You may retake the quiz a second time if needed.  You should receive an email with a link to a printable training record within 5 business days.

If you need documentation of training immediately, please email office@nclcca.org.
