NC Regional Early Childhood Professional Development Planning Project
DCD is funding an effort to create a regional early childhood professional development plan. Between October 2009 and July 2010, planning will take place through the 18 Resource & Referral regions that already exist.
Each Regional Team will have up to 30 people, representing multiple agencies, organizations, demographics, etc. Each Team will conduct at least four meetings in their region, using a common format, timeline and tools. The meetings will identify goals, strategies and resources. The Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development will train the facilitators, provide resources, and use the information gathered to develop a 5-year regional action plan.
